Peter Toniazzo

February 20, 1926 — August 8, 2018

Peter Toniazzo, age 92, of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of Southwest Philadelphia, PA, passed away on August 8, 2018, surrounded by his family.

Peter was predeceased by his beloved wife, Theresa Toniazzo (nee Butler) of 63 years and his siblings Emil, Louie, Joe, Donny and Dolores.

He is survived by his loving children Estella Toniazzo (PJ Naughton), Maryann Toniazzo (Ed Sabedra) and Peter Toniazzo (Melanie), his 9 grandchildren Tracey Ann, Jessica, Peter-James, Johndavid, Kevin, Eva, Kristina, Theresa-Marion and Lola-Isabella, his brother Art Toniazzo (Esther) and 8 great-grandchildren.

Peter was the son of the late Peter and Mary Toniazzo (nee Marcek).

He was born and raised in Porterfield, Wisconsin until he joined the Merchant Marines during World War II and traveled the world serving our country.

He was employed as a bus driver for the Philadelphia Transportation Company (PTC) now SEPTA for over 40 years.

Pete enjoyed his family, friends, gardening, home maintenance, running, sports, traveling, the Atlantic City Casinos, the horse races and many other things.

He enjoyed a long, full and happy life.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, August 17, 2018, 9:30-10:20 AM at St. Eugene Church, 200 S. Oak Avenue, Primos, PA 19018, his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM, interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA and a luncheon at the Lamb Tavern following interment.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in his memory to the Coatesville VA Medical Center Voluntary Services, c/o Hospice and Palliative Care Program, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA 19320 in memory of Pete.

(Donations should be payable to the Department of Veterans Affairs, with Peter's name and "hospice" on the memo line or note.)
